The Black Tulip

It was November 1671. Men in all the towns in the Seven States were reading this notice. Two of these men lived in the town of Dort. Their names were Isaac Boxtel and Cornelius. 

One day there was a certain announcement. The announcement is that if someone success to grow black tulip, someone is given 100000 guilders. Then Cornelius who loves flowers trying to grow up black tulips. He succeeded to make bulbs of black tulip. But he is arrested by political reasons.  In the prison he met a woman, Rosa and they fell in love.  He would like to marry her but he was a life imprisonment, so he gives her rest of two bulbs of tulip and asks to marry another  good person. 

Today I read The Black Tulip. This story is little difficult for me, because it is based on history. But many people are made a fool of the black tulip is very interesting.
